It is named in honor of Major General Robert Bruce McCoy.

Housing
On-base housing is not available for permanent party members. If someone wants to living off-base, rental options in nearby Sparta and Tomah from $900 to $1,500 per month is available.

On-base medical services include basic primary care, occupational health, immunizations and limited pharmacy support. From Tomah Health and Gundersen Health System, wide range of treatments are available.
