Fort Novosel army base previously known as Fort Rucker established in 1942 which is located in Dale, Alabama. It covers 63,000 acres and it serves as the primary flight training base for Army Aviation, often referred to as the Home of Army Aviation. It is situated at coordinates 31.3449° N, 85.7103° W and is named after Colonel Edmund W. Rucker, a Confederate officer.
